Homeguards temple complex.

Spiritual, natural and physically soothing, this miniature Himalayan forestscape grows wild and untended in the backyard of a temple complex built by the home guards right on the doorstep of the National Highway 21. Mornings and evenings make up the rush hour but afternoons are delightfully deserted (unless there is a festival going on) to linger around in the premise for a soul to soul connection on the holy grounds with the occasional gong of the temple bells adding to the charm.

The nature heaven doesn’t come with seating arrangements, so make do with whatever space is available and don’t forget to feed the fish in the pond – Hindus believe its both pious and brings good fortune. The temples within the complex are dedicated to Shiva (left), Kali (Center) and Shani (right). A priest resides close by for assistance in prayers, offerings or to pay one’s obeisance.
