History: This Greetings Card for Birthdays, features a photoart presentation of Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, more popularly known as Sam Manekshaw and Sam Bahadur. Born on the 3rd of April in 1914 Ce., Sam Manekshaw was an officer of the British Indian army and who later went to become the first Field Marshal of the Indian Army. Sam Manekshaw was also the 7th Chief of Staff of the Indian Army and the Chief of Staff during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. In a career that spanned four decades Sam Manekshaw also served in World War II. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1942 for bravery and leadership during the Battle of the Sittang Bridge in Burma, and later the 1939-1945 Star.
