Honouring the brave.

Sir Edwin Luyten's, India Gate.

India gate, Rajpath, New Delhi, India.
Remember the fallen.

During the British Raj, soldiers of the British Indian Army saw action in bloody wars that raged in the cold mountains of Afghanistan, the battlefields of Europe, and the blistering hot deserts of the middle east. The 81 year old war memorial has no intention of letting the world forget their gallantry or the casualties sustained.

Even in a restless city where the pulse has changed from one of relaxed ease to an impatient rush best realized in the madding pace of speeding cars on the road, and priorities centre around making a quick fortune and recreation, the monument continues to draw in visitors in pairs and dozens.

Specially in the evening hours when the night air is cooler and artificial lights lend its surface, a celestial glow.
