History: This watercolour on paper painting is part of the Gitagovinda collection of paintings. The title of the painting is the 'Final Adornment' and depicts Krishna adorning Radha with an anklet before consummation. The painting was created in the region of Kangra, now in Himachal Pradesh, India. It was created in the 1780s and belongs to the Kangra Pahari style of paintings. Traditionally, Radha and Krishna have been portrayed as lovers.
