History: The Mughal multi-barrel cannon was invented by the Persian inventor and courtier Fathullah of Shiraz during the reign of the third Gurkani emperor, Jalal ud-din Mohammad Akbar. It is one of the earliest forms of the volley gun known to man. The replica in the photo can be found in the National Science Center, New Delhi, India.
