History: Started by the Afghan warlord, Sher Shah Sur, during his occupation of Dinpanah and completed by Humayun upon his return to power after his 15-year exile. The Sher Mandal is a red squat tower located within the citadel of Dinpanah. Here Humayun had met his end with a tumble down the staircase, at the age of 47 in 1556.
