A lethargic summer.

Made drowsy by an afternoon sun, a man sleeps off the heat in a tricycle meant for the disabled.

Mathura Road, New Delhi, India.
Mobility for the disabled.

Shaded from the scorching rays of a late afternoon sun in the month of July, a man takes a temporary nap in the driver’s seat of a special tricycle – specifically designed to support the handicapped with mobility and livelihood opportunities.

Sometimes donated by wealth patrons through charity events organized by area based welfare groups or made available via government initiates, the thoughtful device lets one one use their hands to paddle their way through crowds and roads. Selling merchandise for local merchants or transporting goods from one destination to another.

For some, the tricycle doesn’t just mean a convenient mobility option but their homes as well. More elaborate versions come with in-built motors.
